Learning Management Service

Our Learning Management Service (LMS) provides your teachers and students access to a shared best-effort, web-based platform for online and blended learning virtually anywhere web access exists.  The LMS is a collaborative, community-based approach to the creation and provision of a service.

Learning management systems in general can facilitate education by breaking down the barriers of time and distance, promoting student engagement, facilitating ease of use by both teachers and students, and aiding in the transition from high school to higher education.  The features of our LMS are…

  • A Web based learning management system, pedagogically based in the social constructivist approach to learning, with the following features: forums, assignments, quizzes, glossaries, workshops, surveys, gradebooks, wikis and blogs
  • A web interface for your course creators to add your courses, students and teachers to the LMS whenever is convenient for them
  • Your course content is backed up every morning, seven days a week
  • Technical support and troubleshooting, on-demand during WiscNet business hours
  • Unlimited courses!
  • Workgroup community of practice and training resources
  • Based on the Moodle platform
